1996 All American Quarter Horse Congress Champion
2-Yr-Old Snaffle Bit Western
Pleasure Futurity Ltd...
It was 2:00 in the morning on a frosty October night when the Allan Neubauers pulled into our California facility with a trailer load of young horses by Coosa Lad bound for the Cow Palace. The first horse out of the trailer was a sorrel weanling colt and Allan handed me the lead rope. The colt walked into the barn like he owned the place and he now does! I knew that night that this was the horse we were looking for. Six months later "Story" was ours and we have never been disappointed in him. He has more than exceeded our dreams. What are the chances of a couple of unknown California horse people winning the Congress with their very first Quarter Horse at his and their very first AQHA show. Sounds like a fairy tale, and it truly was a "Fairly Tall Tale."
You would expect a stallion owner to be biased and I am no exception, but I honestly feel that Story is one of the very best young pleasure stallions in the country today. He combines beauty, movement and intelligence and is truly a gentleman to handle. What's more he is passing these traits on very consistently. His first foal crop are riders now and we look with confidence to their writing many successful chapters for their new owners.
Story's pedigree offers mare owners, with concentrated Zippo and Invester bloodlines in particular, an excellent outcross. The babies we've seen so far from this cross are very exciting. If you are considering a stallion for your mare give "Story" a chance to put you in the winner's circle and create your very own Fairly Tall Tale!
